At Pericles Ventures, we believe that giving back to the community is not just a responsibility, but a privilege. On 15th November 2024, our team had the heartwarming opportunity to engage with the residents of Majha Ghar Foundation – Apna Ghar Ashram, an old age and orphanage home.
Our goal was simple yet profound: to spend meaningful time with the elderly and children, learn their stories, and come away with valuable life lessons.
A Day of Connection and Reflection
During our visit, we:
- Listened to their life experiences: Hearing stories of resilience, joy, and hope offered us fresh perspectives on life. Each tale was a reminder of the strength that comes from overcoming challenges and the beauty of finding joy in simple moments.
- Engaged in heartfelt conversations: Building connections that transcended generations, our team learned the power of empathy and kindness. We were reminded that, despite differences in age or background, human connection is universal and deeply healing.
- Shared moments of joy: Laughter, warmth, and small acts of kindness created an atmosphere of comfort and happiness. The sparkle in their eyes and the warmth of their smiles made us realize how precious these interactions are.
As we sat together, hand in hand, we understood that sometimes the greatest gift we can offer is not material but emotional — our time, our presence, and our genuine care. The experience left us with a renewed sense of gratitude and a deeper understanding of life’s true meaning.
This visit was more than just a CSR activity; it was a journey of self-discovery, compassion, and connection. The residents of Majha Ghar Foundation – Apna Ghar Ashram taught us that no matter where we are in life, love, respect, and kindness are the threads that bind us all.
